There are many Pals in Palworld that have the Gathering Work Suitability. Unlike the Cooling ability , gathering is not tied to a specific type of pal – any type has the potential to have gathering. Each pal with gathering can have a level between 1 and 4 for their Gathering ability. The higher the number, the faster they will be at completing the Gathering task. Another Pal that isn’t so overtly creepy, but gets worse and worse the more you think about it. The Nitewing will hunt or find a baby Pal and bring them back to its nest . The little Pal might be frightened, or lost and alone, captured by this giant bird, only to find it being cared for, possibly even loved.
There are plenty of other unsettling Pals out in Palworld, but for some reason, the Tocotoco resonates as being quite disturbing without being overtly so. A Pal that creates and then fires eggs that explode is a little par for the course in his world, but once it runs out of those eggs, it has one final last resort.
Grass Element Pals have an Offensive advantage over Ground Type Pals dealing 2x damage to them, but their damage will be halved when fighting against Fire Type Pals. Defensively, they are resistance to Ground types, but will receive 2x damage from Fire Type Pals.
Pal Fusions are a special type of Pal in Palworld that are exceptionally rare, powerful variants of regular Pals in the game. Players can find these Pals in the wild or dungeons and catch them in the same manner as other Pals. Fusion Pals are unique in that they can only be bred at a Breeding Farm by placing the base version of a Pal and a specific Pal (along with some cake). After some time, an egg will appear inside the Breeding Farm. Place the egg inside an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch. Providing the egg with the appropriate heating or cooling will speed up the incubation time by 50% to 100%!
Dragon Element Pals have an Offensive advantage over Dark Type Pals dealing 2x damage to them, but their damage will be halved when fighting against Ice Type Pals. Defensively, they are resistance to Dark types, but will receive 2x damage from Dragon Type Pals.
Fire Element Pals have an Offensive advantage over Grass and Ice Type Pals dealing 2x damage to them, but their damage will be halved when fighting against Water Type Pals. Defensively, they are resistance to Grass and Ice types, but will receive 2x damage from Water Type Pals.
Part of what makes this Pal so unsettling is how little is explained about it. The cryptic Paldeck entry for Astegon gives exceptionally little information, just that it was born out of the abyss. What is the abyss? What eldritch hole did this monster pawn from?
Once it has no more eggs to fire off, it will explode itself, likely killing itself as opposed to being taken by some predator. Does it know when it runs out of eggs it’ll explode itself? Is the Tocotoco aware that the last egg means certain death, and it chooses to go out on its own terms? We’ll never know.
While the brazen bull might not have actually been used in the human world, the Menasting certainly is out and about torturing its victims in Palworld. So well known is this Pal’s way of eating that the Paldeck even mentions how you can hear its victims screaming as they are consumed inside.
When this Pal smells an impending death it will hang around, taking in the particular smell you give off. It doesn’t seem like it’ll do anything to stop it from happening or even really notify you that something is wrong, and likely you’ll never know exactly why it is staying near you. Either way, it might be a good idea to set up a doctor appointment if a Maraith becomes your friend.
What lies underneath the furry exterior of the Wumpo, which seems like a natural question to ask about many of the Pals that can be found in Palworld. The Paldeck entry for this creature seems to have tried to answer this question but left only more questions.
As if that wasn’t enough, if you’re a good person who accidentally gets murdered by a Helzepher, too bad, now you’re going to hell too. Sorry about all those virtues. Sure, it could be a bit of hyperbole from the creator of the Paldeck, or at the least the intern who has to write all the snappy Pal descriptions in the Palworld Hallowed Plate Mail universe, but if it isn’t, and somehow researchers have tapped into the worlds after this one, Helzephyr is a terrifying realization into what awaits people after death.
The Cinnamoth’s Paldeck entry isn’t creepy because of anything the Cinnamoth did on its own , but instead because of what humans have done to it. Sniffing a Cinnamoth will cause ‘unparalleled euphoria’ when inhaled, much like a highly potent drug, and if there are little side effects to the act, it could lead to mass poaching of the sweet little moth.
This terrifying Pal may look like a scorpion but it is a creature of unimaginable nightmares in reality. Despite looking like a solid creature, the Menasting is actually totally empty inside. Instead, a Menasting will take its prey and shove it inside its hollow shell, where it slowly dissolves it. Like the worse version of the brazen bull torture device from ancient history.
